Hi Everyone,
A very brief and very overdue update! I have been trying to get this out for over a week, but we are so busy right now trying to get caught up on the planting. My days are spent running in a dozen different directions, trying to keep a dozen workers moving in the right direction, get broken equipment fixed, prepare ground, and plant seeds. The weather has gone from too dry to a little too wet. All the rainy days have made it difficult to get field prep and planting done and also allows the weeds to get ahead of us on the cultivation.
The good news is that all the moisture is helping my direct sowings to germinate well and the lettuces, peas, and brassicas are thriving. The farm looks great right now and I encourage all of you who can make it to come out for the farm visit this Saturday. If you can’t make it on Saturday, you are welcome to come on Sunday. I will give a tour at 11:30 on Sunday. Deliveries begin next week! You will receive weekly updates by Monday from then on.
I look forward to meeting many of you on Saturday.
