Learn Canning Techniques from "Food in Jars" Author Marisa McClellan

On Friday, September 19th, the Farm & Fork Society is hosting two canning classes at the Kings Cooking Studio in Short Hills with two time Best Food Blog Awards blogger/Cookbook author and master canner Marisa McClellan. Marisa will guide you through preserving your fresh CSA produce in lidded glass Mason Jars.
This two hour demo/participation class will teach you all the skills and techniques you need to preserve Food in Jars
Classes begins at 11 AM or 4 PM and the cost is $65 per person. All participants will bring home their own sample jars of Pear Vanilla Jam and Pickled Beans.
As an added bonus for Farm & Fork Society members only, the fee includes Marisa’s two books, Preserving by the Pint: Quick Seasonal Canning for Small Spaces and Food in Jars: Preserving in Small Batches Year Round.  Both books have a cover price of $23 each.
In between the two classes, Marisa will come to the Farm & Fork Society CSA pick-up location for a book signing and to sell her books to members who cannot attend the classes.
There are a limited number of seats available for each class. To sign up please go directly to the Kings Cooking Studio website and click on September 19th.
NOTE: We are offering these classes to our members first. We will be sending out a press release about the classes to local newspapers and websites soon.
Don't miss out on your chance to learn how to preserve and can your favorite produce just like your grandparents did.
Preserve and enjoy the harvest!
