Book to Plate, Thursday, June 28th, 6:30 PM & I 🍎 LOCAL FARMERS Fundraiser

Please join Farm & Fork Society and The Book House this Thursday, June 28th at 6:30PM for a new event series entitled Book to Plate.

About the event:
Guests are invited to meet cookbook authors and sample a selection of their recipes, made from locally grown produce. These are one of a kind events, planned monthly, to bring you amazing produce, authors, and books, all in one place. Join the company of like-minded friends who value the health of their body, mind, and environment.

To kick off this wonderful series, we invite you to meet us, learn about what is lined up for you, and nibble on some homemade treats.

Thursday, June 28, 6:30 PM

  • Meet Melissa Goldberg from Farm & Fork Society and Nadege Nicoll from The Book House
  • Meet Elizabeth Ryan of Breezy Hill Orchard and Knoll Krest Farm who will explain her farming philosophy and the importance of knowing where your food comes from.
  • Meet Chelsa Hernandez of Coeur et Sol Urban Farms
  • Sample recipes from our favorite cookbooks prepared with fresh and local produce from Farm & Fork Society's farmers.
To attend the event is free, however, please RSVP. During the evening, we will circulate a survey to understand your food tastes and interest, so that we can adapt our series to the need of the community. The Book House is located at 281 Essex Street, Millburn.

About the Artist:
Inspired by her passion to support local farming, Natalie Washuta began making “I Love Local Farmer" t-shirts for friends, family and fellow CSA members in 2006. Figuring that farmers don’t have a lot of money to spend on advertising, so maybe we could do it for them. Natalie is a sweater designer and lives in Brooklyn, NY, though her heart is somewhere out in the wild.
