Great new changes for the 2012 CSA season!
The biggest news is our pick-up location is moving! The new location will be in downtown Millburn in the Wells Fargo parking lot behind Bhakti Barn Yoga. (Pick-up time may even coincide with the Farmer’s Market that is moving location and maybe day.) With this new location we will not have to limit the amount of members. So everyone can join!
Other big news! We will be using a new farmer for our vegetable shares. All vegetables shares will be from Starbrite Farm, a certified organic farm in Andover, NJ. Starbrite has a great variety of produce and I think everyone will be very pleased with the selection. Starbrite Farm has been providing produce for the Montclair and Westfield CSAs for many years, among others CSAs, and is also at Hoboken and Montclair’s Farmers Markets.
Starbrite Farm will be running the CSA from the location and therefore we might not need volunteers this season. Share price may go up but there will not be a site fee for 2012.
Breezy Hill Orchard/Knoll Krest Farm will remain our fruit, pasta and egg farmer. They will be working directly with Starbrite.
Finally, since we will be in a public location, hours will change. Most likely we will not have evening hours and the pick-up window will only be 3-4 hours. So those of you who work, I suggest teaming up with a friend who can pick up your share or splitting a share with someone who can help you out.
