Early Bird pricing is here. Yes, it's that time of year again! Time to sign up for Farm & Fork Society.
If you are a returning member, we have some ordering changes that we are sure you will like. If you are considering becoming a member, we hope to provide you with vital information that should assist you in making an informed decision.
The 2016 Farm & Fork Society season runs from June 10 through November 18, 2016.
We are once again offering Early Bird pricing for all shares with the exception of cider, mushrooms and bread. In addition, our vegetable share has a second tier of pricing. Prices are listed in the "Shares Offered" section. Early Bird deadline dates are firm. No exceptions.
New this season: Bread Share! Wood Fired Rustic Breads that are made from regionally-grown organic grains and other local ingredients from Bobolink Dairy in Millford, NJ. The breads are cold-risen using natural starters, and baked in a wood-fired oven. (Note: Due to fermentation process and the grains used, many gluten sensitive people are able to eat them without any issue.) Bobolink Dairy also makes fine artisanal cheeses from the high-quality grass-fed milk. Once the season starts, members will have the opportunity to add cheese, dairy, and butter weekly by going to their website.
How does it work?
Starting on June 10th, Farm & Fork Society members will pick up their shares on Fridays from the Wells Fargo Parking lot located at the corner of Essex Street and Spring Street in downtown Millburn (Behind Bhakti Barn Yoga). Pick up times are from 12 PM to 3 PM.
All members are expected to volunteer 1 or 2 short shifts per season to assist in the distribution of weekly shares. A volunteer sign-up sheet will be coming your way before the season begins.
Each member is required to pay a $25 membership fee to help cover the costs of running the Farm & Fork Society and any supplies that are needed.
